You didn't say... which university you got the admission from?

ECU

Who's this ?!

Doesn't matter really. Suppose I'm just another innocent bystander, happened to live in the country of your destination, although far from where you're going to travel to. BTW, you could try a better university I blieve, couldn't you?

I know , but ECU is a Very good university specially in MBA I've heard that it's one bests in this area, the reasons it does get a high ranking in websites is first because it's new and second it's not really strong in research courses, which doesn't matter to me , mine is by coursework.
I applied for ECU because my sister is in Perth and in the same Uni , and also ECU is more affordable for me.

P.s. it's good to know your name Bystander , isn't it ?!

Unfortunately ECU is not listed on MBAGuide.com.au website and is not among commonly known and reputable MBA course providers in Australia. Maybe that's because it's a realitvely new university as you said and it takes some time for them to have their position and make some name for themselves.

You're absolutely right about the fact that being affordable and having family are strong motivations which sometimes beat others. I just wanted to share my own POV, as someone already living inside, that you certainly have better options in terms of quality in education.

Besides, another notable fact is how Perth in particular usually becomes boring in a short time. WA is unable to show the true potential of Australia and what real opportunities and quality of life you can get, especially comparing to south east coast, as I'm pretty sure you are already aware of.

Anyway, I wish you the best on this way.

Hey! who's this super negative person? i'm the sister living in perth and studying in ECU. yes its not the best uni in au and WA is not the best place in Australia, but u gotta start somewhere! i don't know when and how you came to Australia, but getting a student visa has become much more difficult than even a few months ago! and immigration rules has changed completely since less than a week ago! getting a P.R is so much easier in WA. just pls pls stop being this negative! are you tryin to change my sister's mind mate? ;)
p.s. i came here to say i like shine! i want more shine!

Before I start, why don't you have a glass of water and calm down a bit? :).... yep, now that's better!

Firstly, it had nothing to do with "negativity" and I was just giving her a simple adivce on how good opportunities she would miss by making not-so-good decisions. Like it or not in the top universities (UoM, UoS, ANU, etc) people don't know if places like ECU even exist... and there is a HUGE difference from where you get your qualification.

Secondly, I'm completely aware of all the recent changes, in visa processing, PR priorities, etc. Visa processing time and its procedure is not affected by the university you choose. The process is similar for all universities regardless of the ranking, as long as you have the offer. In terms of PR, you could always move to wherever it's easier to get your PR after you finish your studies and no one would force you to stay where you've got your qualification in.

Again, I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, as I wish her the best as I did earlier, but shouldn't we always try to take any note or advice into consideration, especially from people who are more likely to have better understanding and experience about what we're about to experience and might have a big impact on our lives?

Anyway, good luck to you both.
